CuAl10Fe5NI5

Excellent resistance to corrosion combined with high mechanical properties.

CuAl10Fe5Ni5 is insensitive to atmospheric attacks and exhibits excellent resistance to severe marine corrosion. This alloy demonstrates exceptional frictional properties under high loads and moderate speeds, along with excellent tensile strength and a high yield point.

In relation to water, especially seawater, this alloy withstands the phenomenon of selective corrosion known as dealuminization.

Atmospheric corrosion resistance: Aluminium-Bronze is naturally protected by a film of copper oxide and alumina. Highly stable and with a high melting point, Aluminium-Bronze forms a superior protective film compared to any corrosion-resistant coating applied to other materials. A high-strength alloy, easy to polish, presenting itself as an alternative to brass due to the fineness of its grains. A chemically pure composition with minimal impurities and, most importantly : lead-free.

An alloy with a low friction coefficient

A suitable alloy for all applications subjected to linear or circular movements (low friction coefficient). It exhibits good resistance to wear and seizing. This Aluminium-Bronze is therefore categorized among high-security alloys. With no risk of stress corrosion cracking, the cast piece will not fail suddenly. This Aluminium-Bronze is used in the construction sector to withstand high loads in aggressive environments.

Mechanical properties of CuAl10Fe5Ni5:
Tensile strength=650MPa
Yield strength=280MPa
Elongation A=7% minimum.

Ideal for construction.
