Corrosion-resistant aluminium bronze
CuAl10Fe5Ni5: High-performance aluminium bronze for severe environments
The CuAl10Fe5Ni5 aluminium bronze alloy is highly resistant to atmospheric attack and offers exceptional resistance to severe marine corrosion.
It also provides excellent performance under friction in high-load conditions, combined with strong tensile strength and high yield strength.
The CuAl10Fe5Ni5 aluminium bronze alloy is designed for the most demanding environments. It offers outstanding resistance to marine corrosion, including severe conditions, as well as excellent resistance to erosion, cavitation and stress corrosion.
Its metallurgical structure provides high wear resistance and excellent friction behaviour under heavy loads, while maintaining strong tensile strength and a high yield limit.
In contact with water, especially seawater, this alloy effectively resists selective corrosion phenomena such as dealuminification, ensuring long-term durability.
Naturally protected by a stable oxide layer, aluminium bronze forms a protective film superior to many conventional anti-corrosion coatings. Its fine grain structure also allows good polishing capability, making it a technical and aesthetic alternative to brass.
Its controlled chemical composition, with very low impurities and lead-free, ensures reliability for critical applications.
An alloy suited for dynamic and high-load applications
The CuAl10Fe5Ni5 aluminium bronze alloy is particularly suitable for applications involving linear or rotational movements thanks to its low friction coefficient.
It offers excellent resistance to wear and seizure, even in aggressive environments. Classified among high-safety alloys, it does not suffer from stress corrosion cracking and maintains its structural integrity under heavy loads.
Mechanical properties of CuAl10Fe5Ni5

Ideal for critical environments
Shock-resistant, non-magnetic and spark-resistant, CuAl10Fe5Ni5 aluminium bronze is perfectly suited for hazardous environments such as ATEX zones.
Unlike some steels, it does not become brittle and maintains its mechanical properties over time.
The addition of nickel refines the grain structure, increases corrosion resistance and enhances overall mechanical performance.
CuAl10Fe5Ni5
This aluminium bronze alloy is widely used in the most demanding industries, including chemical processing, marine environments, cryogenics, desalination units, industrial valves and high-safety installations.
Its exceptional resistance to multiple forms of corrosion — marine, erosion, cavitation and stress corrosion — makes it a reference material for critical applications requiring reliability and long service life.
